The next meeting of the Fisheries Committee in the European Parliament will take place in Brussels on the 20–21 of June 2012.
Meeting documents will be available on the Committee website a few days before the meeting.
CFP REFORM: On 20 June, PECH Committee Members will face a challenging voting session on two important reports related to the CFP reform package: the draft report by Struan Stevenson (ECR, UK) on the Common organisation of the markets in fishery and aquaculture products, for which 467 amendments had been tabled, and the own-initiative report by Carl Haglund (ALDE, FI) on reporting obligations under Regulation 2371/2002 on the conservation and sustainable exploitation of fisheries resources.
PRESS CONFERENCE: Rapporteur of the regulation on Common organisation of the markets, Mr. Struan Stevenson (ECR, UK), will hold a press conference on the content of his report on Wednesday, 20 June at 14.00 in the Parliament’s press conference room Anna Politkovskaya (PHS 0A50) in Brussels.
