Here is a summary of what happened when the Fisheries Committee of the European Parliament met today, 12 April.
The vote on the Fisheries Partnership Agreement between the EU and Micronesia was postponed, because Micronesia has not yet confirmed that they want the new agreement.
Carmen Fraga Estévez’s report on Port State Measures was adopted unanimously.
Iliana Malinova Iotova presented her draft report on management of Black sea fisheries and Isabella Lövin presented her second working document for the report on combating illegal fishing.
The Committee was meant to convene on Wednesday 13 April for an exchange of views on the extension of the Protocol to the Fisheries Partnership Agreement with Morocco, but this meeting has been postponed.
