An interactive map tracking 3.4 billion euros in EU fisheries subsidies has been launched. Fishsubsidy.org, the non-profit organisation that aims to obtain and publish detailed data on fisheries subsidies, has tracked 39,174 payments between 1994 and 2006 made to EU Member States, under the Financial Instrument for Fisheries Guidance (FIFG) subsidies programme.

The map only show payments made up until 2006 because the European Commission no longer publishes information on which vessels have received subsidies.
