Greenpeace: Implementing the Marine Reserves Roadmap to Recovery
Evidence garnered from all around the globe shows that the creation of marine reserves – areas of ocean set aside as off-limits to fishing, fossil fuel extraction and other industrial activities – can protect and restore ocean ecosystems, according to the environmental group Greenpeace. In a new report they set out what they believe needs to be done to establish a global network of marine reserves to reverse the degradation of the oceans.
