They key issue for agreement are the 2011 TACs and quotas for the Baltic Sea. The Ministers will also exchange views on the forthcoming annual meeting of the International Commission for the Conservation of Atlantic Tunas (ICCAT) which will take place in Paris from 17 – 27 November.
The NGOs Seas at Risk and the Fisheries Secretariat prepare a joint briefing paper prior to Agriculture and Fisheries Council meetings, containing recommendations on the fisheries points to be debated by Ministers.
